WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: November 13, 2023, at 11:37 p.m.
WHERE: 6200 block of Schevers St. 77087.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $180,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $25,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental due to a pinched wire in the wall.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire coming from a 1-story residence and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the fire was extinguished. The American Red Cross responded to assist the residents and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 34 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 26, 23, 35, 40 and 36.
