WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: October 21, 2023, at 11:19 a.m.
WHERE: 9900 block of Tolman St. 77034.
INJURIES: No reported injuries. Three deceased dogs found.
PROPERTY SAVED: $175,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find heavy smoke and fire coming from a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. Three deceased dogs were found. Crews controlled and quickly extinguished the fire. The utilities were secured and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 38 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 52, 23, 26, 70, 29, 36, 61 and 29.
