WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: August 9, 2023, at 3:21 p.m.
WHERE: 600 block of Regal St. 77034.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $123,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find light some coming from the roof and the garage doors of a house. Crews forced entry into the garage and extinguished the fire, containing it to the garage. A primary search was completed with everyone safely out of the home. There was no extension into the house. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from stations 23, 26, 70, 29, 36, 61, 94 and 30.
