INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $180,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire coming from the corner of a house. They forced entry and extinguished the fire. A primary search was completed, and the roof was ventilated. The homeowners reported they left clothes in the washer and dryer and retuned to find heavy fire in the laundry room. Crews remained on scene and conducted salvage and overhaul. Firefighters from Stations 23, 26, 70, 29, 36, 52, 61, 55 and 24 responded to this incident.
