WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: November 20, 2021 at 6:01 a.m.
WHERE: 3300 block of Caplin, 77026
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $25 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $70 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find heavy fire coming from several sides of a 1-story house and electrical powerlines burned and arcing in the driveway. The occupants had safely made it out of the home prior to HFDs arrival. Crews made an attack and extinguished the fire. They ventilated the home and conducted overhaul. It was determined that the fire started in a wall near the main electrical feed. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the residents. Firefighters from Stations 19, 34 and 30 responded to this incident.
