WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: January 8, 2023 at 5:40 p.m.
WHERE: 8100 block of Denton St. 77028.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $90,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $40,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a 1-story home fully involved on fire. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The roof was ventilated, and crews removed burglar bars. The fire was controlled, and the power company was requested due to downed powerlines. HFD Arson and HPD were also requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. Firefighters from Stations 15, 34, 45, 32, 39, 43, 56 and 30 responded to this incident.
