WHAT: House Fire

WHERE: 4900 block of North Cancun, 77045
INJURIES: One firefighter transported to the hospital for non-life threating reason(s).
PROPERTY SAVED: $125,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $25,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to a reported house fire. Once on scene, smoke began showing from the home and crews made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the house was ventilated. A second alarm and mayday were called when a firefighter fell through the ceiling and became stuck. The mayday was cancelled once he was assisted out and he was transported to the hospital. Crews controlled the fire within 20 minutes and checked for extension. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin.
