DAMAGE: $80,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a 1-story house on fire. They conducted a primary search and controlled the utilities. The fire was in the garage above the water heater in the attic. Crews quickly controlled and extinguished it with no extension found. The water heater had been installed earlier that day. Property conservation was completed, and the occupants secured the home. Firefighters from Stations 47, 21, 59, 24, 48 and 80 responded to this incident.
