WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: April 15, 2024, at 5:12 p.m.
WHERE: 1400 block of Woodcrest Dr. 77018.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary and two individuals were arrested.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a 1-story house heavily involved in fire with nearby structures being threatened by the flames. They protected the exposures and began an attack on the fire. Once the fire was contained and it was safe to enter, crews conducted a primary search. The house had no power and there were no furnishings inside. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 39 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 38, 15, 4, 31, 11, 50, 62, 67, 74, 7, 30 and Rehab.
