WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: July 27, 2022 at 6:10 p.m.
WHERE: 6300 block of Coachwood Dr. 77035.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $130,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $70,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the side of a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and ventilated the home. The fire was extinguished, and crews pulled sheetrock to check for extension. The utilities were controlled, and CenterPoint was notified. The fire appeared to have started around a window air conditioning unit and spread to the wall and void space. Firefighters from Stations 59, 48, 80 and 21 responded to this incident.
