WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: December 23, 2022 at 12:15 a.m.
WHERE: 8000 block of Dunlap St. 77081.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $245,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $60,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from the attic of a house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was conducted, and the home was ventilated. The utilities were secured and after evaluating the conditions, the crews changed to a defensive attack. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 68, 15, 21, 59, 37, 48, 60, 82 and 57 responded to this incident.
