WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 13, 2024, at 6:44 a.m.
WHERE: 10800 block of Shannon Hills Dr. 77099.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $100,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $160,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They ventilated the home and conducted a primary search. The residents safely escaped, however, several pets were found, treated with oxygen and given to their owners. One bird was found deceased. Crews extinguished the fire and helped the family locate important documents and devices. 44 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 73, 82, 2, 68, 83, 10, 76, 57 and Rescue 10.
