WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 2, 2023, at 7:36 p.m.
WHERE: 12500 block of Sharpview Dr. 77072.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $146,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (candle).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from a house and began an attack on the fire. They ventilated the home and pulled the ceiling. The utilities were secured, and a primary search was completed. A candle had been left burning in the kitchen and it appeared this caused the fire. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 76, 15, 68, 83, 10, 73 and 75.
