WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: May 16, 2023 at 6:11 a.m.
WHERE: 4700 block of Banning Dr. 77027.

CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find what appeared to be a vacant house on fire. They made an attack on the fire and ventilated the home. A primary search was conducted, and the utilities were secured. The roof was deteriorating, and crews switched to a defensive attack. The fire was controlled from the exterior of the structure and extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 45 personnel responded to this incident from Stations 2, 28, 6, 3, 16, 37, 38 and 57 responded to this incident.
