CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental due to an unspecified short circuit in an outlet.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from a 1-story house and found smoke banked down to the chest level inside. They completed a primary search and checked for extension in the attic. A fire above the kitchen area was located, and quickly extinguished. Two dogs were found and taken outside. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 38 personnel responded to this incident from Stations 13, 4, 50, 67, 34 and 30.
