WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 5, 2023 at 7:12 a.m.
WHERE: 9400 block of Tower St. 77088.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $6,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story house with the residents outside. A small fire was found in the front attic portion and was quickly extinguished. Crews ventilated the smoke form the home with a fan and the utilities were secured. An electrical wire was found to have burned insulation in the attic and caused the fire. The residents were advice to have an electrician inspect and repair the electrical issues prior to turning the power back on. Firefighters from Stations 67, 4, 31, 13, 58 and 30 responded to this incident.
