WHAT: House/carport fire.
WHEN: February 3, 2024, at 4:31 p.m.
WHERE: 7300 block of Krueger Rd. 77033.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $100,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $28,500 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: vehicle fire.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find two cars under a house’s carport on fire. They made an offensive attack and entered the home to complete extinguishment of the fire that had spread to the den/garage area. The fire originated from one of the vehicle’s engine compartment, and spread from there. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 26, 23, 46, 35 and 55.
