WHERE: 12000 block of Bauman Rd. 77076.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $141,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $15,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a 2-story garage apartment. They made an attack and conducted a primary search. The apartment was ventilated, and the utilities were secured. Crews extinguished the fire and CenterPoint controlled the electricity to the structure. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 15, 34, 30, 31, 58 and 67 responded to this incident.
