WHAT: Fast Food Restaurant Fire.
WHEN: July 18, 2022 at 12:01 p.m.
WHERE: 6220 East Freeway Outbound, 77020.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (Abandoned or discarded materials or products).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within a minute to find smoke coming from the roof of a fast-food restaurant. They opened the roof and extinguished the fire. The building was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. The utilities were shut off and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The health department was also notified. Firefighters from Stations 19, 27, 20 and 30 responded to this incident.
