WHAT: Duplex Fire

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $5,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $15,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke banked around a 1-story duplex. They made an offensive attack and found heavy fire located in a detached garage. The fire had extended up into the attic space and wall. They extinguished the fire and the hotspots. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 18, 40, 8, 23, 19, 20, 17, 25 and 30 responded to this incident.
