DAMAGE: $8,500 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find an apartment unit full of smoke. The occupants had safely made it out and crews used a pump can to extinguish the fire. They ventilated the unit and found a burned pot on the stove. The microwave and part of the wall was removed to check for extension. The apartment was left with the tenant and property manager. Crews from Stations 83, 78, 10, 60, 69 and 57 responded to this incident.
