WHAT: Duplex fire.

WHERE: 5600 block of Hirsch Rd. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $150,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (unattended cooking).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a small kitchen fire in a unit of a duplex. They extinguished the fire that started from an unattended pan of oil and spread to the wall, refrigerator, and vent hood. Crews from Stations 39, 19, 34, 12 and 30 responded to this incident.
