WHAT:Duplex Fire.
WHEN: October 15, 2022 at 1:31 p.m.
WHERE: 1500 block of Telephone Rd. 77023.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $196,250 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $35,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find fire coming from a 1-story duplex. They made an attack on the fire which extended into the attic and ventilated the structure. The utilities were secured, and a primary search was conducted. The crews controlled and fully extinguished the fire and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 23, 8, 20, 18, 25, 40 and 24 responded to this incident.
