Convenience Store Fire in The Westbury Area

WHAT: Convenience Store Fire.

WHEN: November 4, 2022 at 8:46 p.m.

WHERE: 12511 Hillcroft Ave. 77035.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

PROPERTY SAVED: $260,766 in estimated property saved.

DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.

CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical failure, malfunction, other).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from the roof of a 1-story convenience store. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. HPD was requested for traffic control and CenterPoint was on location. The fire was extinguished, and it was determined that the cause was due to an electrical issue with a blackened electrical panel and reports of intermittent lights. Crews from Stations 48, 59, 68, 80, 82, 73 and 24 responded to this incident.
