WHAT: Condominium fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $11,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find smoke coming from a 2-story condominium building and made an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and had all occupants evacuate. The utilities were secure, and the fire was extinguished. A fan was used to ventilate the smoke. Crews determined that a malfunctioning HVAC system was the most likely cause of the fire. 34 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 13, 2, 4, 5, 50, 66, 67 and 30.
