Houston police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man and a woman at 9475 West Sam Houston Parkway South service road (Beltway 8) about 2:15 p.m. on July 3.
The suspect is described only as a male with the left side of his head shaved. A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.
The victims, Aychell Oliva Garcia, 38, and Mijdala Garcia Lazo, 58, were transported to a local hospital in stable conditions.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Alobaidi reported:
HPD officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. They learned Mr. Oliva Garcia and Ms. Garcia Lazo were driving in the parking lot when the unknown suspect fired at their vehicle from between apartment buildings. Witnesses advised officers the suspect fled the scene on foot.
