INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $280,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (lightning).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire and smoke coming from a commercial building and made an offensive attack. They forced entry into the secured structure and conducted a primary search. The fire was quickly controlled and extinguished. It appeared to have started on the top of the structure and caused by a lightning strike. 46 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 83, 10, 60, 75, 76, 83, 69, 86 and 57.
