WHAT: Commercial building fire.
WHEN: August 19, 2023, at 4:21 a.m.
WHERE: 2607 Grant St. 77006.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $3,950,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire coming from a 2-story commercial building. They forced entry and made an offensive attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The building appeared to be under renovation and crews pulled the ceiling to contain and fully extinguish the fire. The structure was ventilated and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 39 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 16, 6, 8, 7, 30 and Rehab 8.
