WHAT: Commercial building fire.
WHEN: April 12, 2024, at 1:47 a.m.
WHERE: 3201 Chimney Rock Rd. 77056.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $800,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $200,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary - Harris County Assistant District Attorney accepted reckless arson charges for suspect Donnie Rodgers (44).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a commercial building on fire and made an attack. A primary search was conducted with no one found. The Houston Police Department was requested for traffic control. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin with a suspect on scene. 39 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 2, 28, 68, 3, 51 and 57.
