HOUSTON, Texas – The City of Houston Municipal Courthouse at 1400 Lubbock, only, will be closed beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Normal business hours will resume effective Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Individuals who have court settings from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday will be given the opportunity to reset their case(s).
Resets will be given in person at all City of Houston court locations Wednesday, June 3, 2020 through Tuesday, June 9, 2020, until 5 p.m. Please visit the Municipal Courts’ website at www.houstontx.gov/courts for information on all court locations and hours of operation. It is important to note that if an individual fails to reset their case(s) during the reset period (6/3/20 through 6/9/20), an arrest warrant may be issued.
On Tuesday June 2, 2020, there will be:·
- No Trials by Judge from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Anyone scheduled for trials on this day must come in person Wednesday, June 3, 2020 through Tuesday, June 9, 2020 to receive a new trial date. Scheduled court settings will resume Wednesday, June 3, 2020.·
- No Arraignments from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Anyone scheduled for arraignments on this day must come in person Wednesday, June 3, 2020 through Tuesday, June 9, 2020 to receive a new arraignment date. Scheduled court settings will resume Wednesday, June 3, 2020. ·
- No Parking Adjudication Hearings from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Hearings will resume Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
