DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find smoke coming from a large, abandoned building. They made an offensive attack and opened overhead doors to gain access. The roof began to sag, and crews exited the structure to finish extinguishment efforts in a defensive mode. The Houston Police Department was requested for traffic control and HFD Ason investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 50 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 2, 78, 83, 57, 69, 75, 76, 73 and Rescue 10.
