WHAT: Apartment fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $275,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire in the attic of an apartment building. Maintenance had been working on an air-conditioning unit which caused a possible electrical arch. Crews controlled the fire after breaching the roof which had multiple voids. The utilities were secured, and firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul. The American Red Cross was notified and arrived on scene to assist the residents for the two units which suffered from water damage. 50 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 2, 68, 83, 10, 51, 69, 76, 80 and 57.
