CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical failure, malfunction, other)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find light smoke coming from a unit. Upon further investigation a small fire was found in the walls of a closet space with charring above a light switch. The fire was extinguished, and CenterPoint was requested to fully isolate the power to the building. There had been several calls to the same building the previous days for similar issues. Residents of the building were advised the power was turned off and to find other shelter. Crews from Stations 10, 69, 83 and 60 responded to this incident.
