CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find light smoke coming from a vacant unit on the second floor of a 2-story apartment building. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The unit was ventilated, and the fire was found in the attic area. Crews pulled the sheetrock ceiling and extinguished the fire. HFD Arson was requested to determine the cause and origin. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 48, 2, 59, 68, 47, 51, 82 and 24.
