ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find an abandoned apartment building on fire and declared a defensive attack. They protected the nearby buildings as they made entry into the building. There were large amounts of vegetation making it difficult to access and crews reported a roof collapse. Firefighters controlled and extinguished the fire, ensuring all hot spots were out. The building had caught fire several weeks prior and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 27 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 5, 78, 49, 57, 77 and the Village Fire Department.
