WHAT: Apartment fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $30,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (candle).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find an apartment on fire and made an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and were informed that the occupant had been pulled out of a window by bystanders. Once the fire was extinguished, crews completed salvage and overhaul. The resident was evaluated by HFD EMS on scene and was not injured. The fire originated from an unattended lit candle. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 78, 83, 49, 77, 69 and 57.
