WHAT: Apartment fire.

DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find smoke coming from the second floor of a 2-story apartment building. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The residents had safely exited. The building was ventilated, and crews extinguished the fire. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the tenants and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 43 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 51, 2, 28, 68, 48, 60, 73, 82 and 57.
