DAMAGE: $85,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a fire in the wall and under a pier and beam apartment building. They cut out the floor to access and extinguished the fire. It appeared to have started from an electrical wire failure at the area the power came into the building. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the residents. Crews from Stations 25, 23, 8, 46, 7, 18 and 24 responded to this incident.
