WHAT: Townhome fire.
WHEN: April 19, 2023 at 8:12 a.m.
WHERE: 7800 block of W. Bellfort Ave. 77071.
INJURIES: One civilian was transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: $10,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $10,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (heat source too close to combustible).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from a townhome and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and crews rescued one person from the home and transported them to the hospital. They extinguished a fire in the kitchen and checked for extension. Firefighters from Stations 82, 59, 68, 48 and 51 responded to this incident.
