WHAT: Apartment fire.

INJURIES: One resident evaluated on scene by HFD EMS.

DAMAGE: $7,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find light smoke coming from the second floor of a 2-story apartment. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. Crews extinguished spot fires throughout the kitchen and moved the stove and adjacent appliances away from the wall to ensure the fire was completely out. A fan was used to ventilate the smoke from the apartment and a resident was evaluated on scene for smoke inhalation. Firefighters from Stations 36, 52, 26, 29, 61, 70 and 40 responded to this incident.
