CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find light smoke coming from the eves of the second floor of a 2-stoary apartment building. They found and completed extinguishment of a small fire in a second story balcony storage closet. The maintenance staff and the resident had helped to control the fire prior to HFDs arrival. Firefighters checked for extension and found none. The area was exposed and watered down the area to ensure there were no hotspots. Crews from Stations 31, 64, 74, 84, 30 and the Aldine Fire Department responded to this incident.
