CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from a 2-story apartment building. The fire was found in multiple void spaces and extinguished. Crews conducted a primary search and checked for extension. The building was ventilated, and the utilities were controlled. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced families. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 15, 34, 64, 58, 67, 74, 84, 30, Rehab 17 and the Aldine Fire Department responded to this incident.
