WHAT: Apartment Fire.
WHEN: July 19, 2022 at 12:09 p.m.
WHERE: 7835 Grow Lane, 77044.
INJURIES: One deceased pet, CPR attempted.
PROPERTY SAVED: $705,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $65,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (kitchen).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from the first floor of a 2-story apartment building. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. Crews found a dog and attempted CPR; however, the dog did not survive. The fire was controlled, and crews checked for extension with none found. Firefighters from Stations 4, 5, 13, 66 and 77 responded to this incident.
