CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental, most likely caused by an ember that ignited pine straw with debris under the wall siding.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from the chimney chase of an apartment and made an offensive attack. They ventilated the building and conducted a primary search. The crews extinguished the fire and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 15, 5, 31, 4, 11, 13, 38, 50, 62 and 30 responded to this incident.
