CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a first-floor unit of a 2-story apartment building. The occupants were outside and stated that puppy was still inside. Crews found and extinguished a small kitchen fire and found reunited the puppy with the occupants. The residents above the unit were also assisted out of their unit. The fire started from an unattended pan on the stove top. Firefighters from Stations 5, 31, 15, 15, 62, and 31 responded to this incident.
