WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: March 28, 2022 at 4:56 p.m.
WHERE: 3500 block of Overture, 77082
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $228,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from the roof of a house and began an attack on the fire. They forced entry, finding heavy smoke and ventilated the home. A primary search found multiple animals with a number of dogs in distress. HFD crews provided medical attention revived 11-12 of the dogs. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators requested to investigate the cause and origin. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the residents due to the home being uninhabitable. Firefighters from Stations 83, 10, 76, 69 and 24 responded to this incident.
