Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 10101 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 11:55 p.m. on September 26.
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
A pedestrian was attempting to cross the main lanes of the freeway near the above address when they were struck by a silver Nissan Altima. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased.
The driver of the Nissan, 19, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
