Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 10700 Bauman Road about 8:10 a.m. today (Sept. 23).
The identity of the deceased female, 66, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer A. Hart reported:
A white Ford Explorer was traveling southbound at the above address when the driver struck a blue Mazda Z3. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the driver of the Ford to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. It is believed the driver may have suffered a medical episode prior to the crash.
The driver and passenger of the Mazda were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
