Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a male that occurred at 8800 Lockwood Drive about 2:35 p.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 22).
Brandon Jermond Lewis, 27, is charged with murder in the 176th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Lewis is attached to this news release.
The identity of the deceased male, 55, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Winningham and J. Meister reported:
Officers responded to a report of a male lying in the roadway at the above address suffering from a stab wound. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
When officers arrived multiple witnesses also identified a suspect, who was then detained after a brief foot pursuit. Lewis was then arrested and charged for his role in the male’s death.
