Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in the 6100 block of Telephone Road about 10:05 p.m. on August 7.
The deceased male is identified as David Storm, 71.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer F. Flynn reported:
A vehicle, believed to be a gray Toyota, was traveling southbound at the above address. At the same time, Mr. David Storm was crossing the street westbound in the crosswalk. Mr. Storm was in a motorized wheelchair. The Toyota struck Mr. Storm and the driver fled the location without stopping to render aid.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Mr. Storm to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
